My scanner is making a grinding noice and is not finding the object to scan. I went to start-setting-contol panel. Double clicked on System, chose the Devise manager tab. Scrolled down and found the list for SCSI Controllers. Double clicked SCSI contollers and viewe the HP EPST Parallel SCSI Adapter.

If I do start programs, the scanner is not listed. Could you please offer some advice
