spanned ghost images, restore from CDROM
Hi folks
I just made a split ghost image of C:, which fits on two CDR, using this line
GHOST.EXE -split=690 -autoname -z9 -clone,MODE=pdump,SRC=1:1,DST=D:\DRIVEC.GHO
The thing is, this time it exceeded 690MB so I have two files. (they used to be under 690MB...)
I want to make this booter with detectCD.exe on it http://www.ping.be/satcp/ghostresq01.htm
now I wonder, will this line restore the TWO CD's properly?
GHOST.EXE -clone,MODE=pload,SRC=%CDROM%\DRIVEC.GHO:1,DST=1:1
or should one use a more classic method for running this off the CD?
I am worried about the disk change, see.

When I pull my bootstraps, why don't I load Windows?

and it worked.

Hi
far as I was able to determine, there is a little error in the menu on the floppy made by bootdisk.exe
(says SUCD for CD support and then has no SUCD section...)
apart from that, detectCD looks for ghost.exe in root of CDR (thus, peeps do well to rename ghostPE to avoid getting "cdrom not found"
the autoexec.bat and config.sys are already in the floppy made by bootdisk.exe.
Ghost.bat can be edited to match the name (and path) you used for the image set.
I actually renamed the batchfile and edited the autoexec.bat in the floppy to match this name
restor_C.bat
(it's more descriptive, which helps my tired brain when I come across these things many moons later.)
