Here in our little neck of the PA woods, we like Ratbag's Dirt Track Racing, or their Dirt Track Racing-Sprint Cars. Both loads of fun, but I prefer the Sprints better. Seem a bit more realistic..
Look here ofr more info: http://www.ratbaggames.com

I like the Need for Speed series.
A lot of people say N for S 4 is the best one. They got a little carried away with the graphics on 5 and it takes away from the performance of the cars. If you like racing Porsches though 5 is good, just go into the game options and tone down the graphics and it runs much better.

NASCAR Racing 4. You better have a high end machine to apply. Online racing is alive and well with over 1000 racers online at any given time, Lets see ANY other racing game claim that. Usually over 100 servers to choose from with all skill levels available from rookie to expert. Excellent graphics and physics. Play Arcade mode or full blown sim.
Just better have a killer machine to play.
