Import Favorites from IE 5.5 to IE 6
I am trying to import favorites from IE 5.5 on D: drive to IE 6.0 on C: drive (obviously C & D are partitions of a hard drive). Problem is I can't go back to IE 5.5 and export favorites as a file because the D: is an exact copy of the C: drive *before* I installed IE 6 on the C: drive. It seems that I can't run IE 5.5 from the D: drive anymore (or maybe that's the solution). When I attempt to import favorites within IE 6, it doesn't work because I don't have a file to import. I also tried to simply drag and replace the favorites folder from the D: to the C: drive but to no avail (regardless of what I do with the favorites folder on the C: drive (rename, move, etc.), it doesn't change a thing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried copying the links in the Favorites folder on the D drive and pasting to the Favorites Folder on the C drive?

Why can't the import/ export wizard be used?
Top of browser window.....go to file..then down to Import and Export......and follow the wizard.
export favourites.....next....next......Choose export to a file or address......and change the location using the browse button?
Just a thought.
