Do I Need All These VCM* Folders????
A burning question I have had, although I have not requested help from anyone before . . . It seems that every time I have either resetup IE or updated it through Windows Update, a new folder with the prefix VCM gets created, with a number (.000, .001, .002, .003, .004 in my case) after it. One of these (forget which one, although it may be the main one named simply VCM) seems to serve as the "default" configuration for the IE I'm using at the moment (in my case, 5.50.4522.1800CO), the one that my computer uses to access it.
I would love to get rid of extraneous folders . . . but is that safe in this case? Are the other ones all dead wood -- or does IE use them in some way to configure anything new????

But of course! (Thwack)(Sound of befuddled user smacking herself upside the head for being so slow to notice) Thanks for the clarification . . . So in other words, wholesale deletion is out.
