Need help with FTP-clients
I've done a couple of websites, but this time I want to upload the files to thae site using a FTP-client.
I've downloaded some FTP-clients (BulletProof FTP, Smart FTP, AceExpert FTP)
I type in the information about the host, my login name, and my password. But when I am about to Connect I get error messages in the status window.
In BulletProof FTP I get this;
"500 d1o25.telia.com FTP - connection refused -- too many failed attempts -- try later
Fatal Error - It appears that this server doesn't understand a basic FTP command. ()
I'll try reconnecting - maybe things will come right.""
I got the ftp info from my ISP, so it should work. But since I fail to connect with every program, I suppose that I must have missed someting in "properties" or "options".
Any1 knows what I should do?

Most FTP programs work in the same way.
All thats required is the address of the server, username and password. Make sure you have got those right and you should be able to log in o.k, assuming your web space has been set up available for use.

I'm not sure about your software but like Buffy said they should be pretty much the same. I use ftpvoyager http://www.ftpvoyager.com/ and it works great! Here is an example of how mine looks.

I use to get the message that "the server doesn't allow anonymous or guest accounts" or something like that.
I don't use anonymous connection, but I don't know about the guest-thing...

I use WS_FTPle. It is very useful, as well simple to upload files to your webpage.
you can find it at www.tucows.com
