Stops at Starting MS-DOS..
Just got old 486.Don't know much about this computer.Boots up to Amibios System Configuration,then Starting MS-DOS..
and just stays there with curser flashing under it.I have the 7 floppies for windows 3.1 that came with it.How can I get to windows or even dos.Seems that it just can't find ms-dos

when u say that cursos is flashing do u mean it gets to c:\and flashes or does it hang. If it get to c:\try typing win if that dont'work then try typping cd c:\windows
and then type win.exe
if it hangs try using a bootdisk to get in to dos and then u copy use your floopy to install windows 3.1 sorry haven't used windows for to many years don't remember if the first disk is a bootable disk or if u have to creat one.
Hopefully someone gona responde to your post that have better knowledge then i have.

It never gets to a promp.Cursor I meant was just small bar flashing.I'm going to go download a bootdisk And try from there.

Bootdisk and windows 3.1 is now working.
