    "NO ROM BASIC SYSTEM HALTED"

I have an old P133 PC that I was trying to create a 50Mb DOS partition in order to install Netware 5.0. Somehow in using
FDISK I have deleted some kind of file.
After POST I get this message and it will not boot up.I've tried changing settings in BIOS but to no avail.

Something is wrong in boot sector, or master boot record.
Did you set the primary partition as active?
That might be all it is.
If not you could use FDISK/MBR to try to restore the master boot record.
Make sure your BIOS settings are correct.
    Good luck.

The most common problem for this error is no active partition in fdisk as stated
    Boot to a startup disk
    run fdisk
    display the partition
if the status is not A for active back up a screen & set the partition to active & reboot
    Formerly known as Eyesee, see?
    Everything works,in theory

IEEO was right about the Master Boot Record
    being corrupted.FDISK/MBR repaired the problem.
