Special keys to boot into DOS
I am looking for specials keys on the keyboard to alter how the DOS operating system is booted up. I am specifically trying to alter the boot sequence. I am aware of the F-5 and F-8 key. I would like to enhance my knowledge of this O.S. as I do not have much experience. Thanks in advance guys

I don't remember if the default installation of MS-DOS v6.xx sets up
any "special keys" that can be used to alter the bootup sequence. You
can set it up yourself however. At the DOS prompt type "help
multiconfig" (not the quotes) to delve into the instructions. Once you
have that setup, on bootup you'll be presented with the Menu(s) you've
created and the options: "F5=Bypass startup files F8=Confirm each line
of CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT [N]" listed at the bottom of the screen.

To enhance your knowledge of DOS. (You did not say which version.) The library is a great source of books on the subject.

Hi!
Vernon refered to MULTICONFIG. Depending on the DOS version you are running, help may not be there. For info on Multiple Configuration Boot, go here.
