fdisk /MBR

I Fdisk /Mbr 'd my HD and now it won't boot to the OS---It gives me the non sys disk error message. My bootdisk is good. So, now how do I get to the os?

Hi,

Fdisk /Mbr command would not destroy any data on hard drive unless you had some disk manager driver installed in master boot sector.
Boot from a boot diskette and look at your C: drive with DIR C: command. If all your programs seem intact, then use the command: SYS C: to restore system files and to make disk bootable.
If you find your data is gone, then I think you must reformat your hard drive.

If you did use a disk manager, try reloading it before completly reformatting your drive.

Just another bit of info......according to microsoft knowledge base, you should not use the /mbr if you have more than 4 partitions......It doesn't say why you shouldn't, just that you shouldn't. Good luck.
