    EndItAll 2.0 with XP?

Is anyone running PCMag's great little utility, EndItAll vs 2.0, with WinXP? If so, PLEASE help. What programs/processes MUST be protected from being 'killed' when running EndItAll? There is no SysTray, as in previous versions, and everytime I attempt to use it, I get a system crash. I sure hope I can continue using this program, it's great for quick shutdowns while installing new programs, etc. THANKS!!

My experience with this program was similar. I have removed it and use XP's Task Manager to close programs. It is quick and easy. I do not dare to fight with these little programs. Either they work or not.

You might try one thing, if you upgraded to XP: Uninstall and reinstall. I had some programs where I had to do it to get them working under XP. These were however large ones.

I'm still using version one of EndItAll, and with no problems. I found version 2 to be much slower and caused more problems. You can still find version one at http://home.ptd.net/~don5408/toolbox/enditall/

I agree with fuelm@n, the earlier version works far better than the later version 2.

Thanks everyone!! I still have version 1.0 also, and agree, it is MUCH less confusing than version 2.0, but was concerned it didn't close everything down. When I hit CAD with XP, and see ALL those running processes, it blows my mind!! LOL

The improvement of the task manager is one of XP's best achievements. They really took a cue from all the third party utility memory managers and built them in nicely. Renders end-it-all, mem turbo, etc., unnecessary.
