[RESOLVED] Phantom Drives after Upgrade?
Please help. After upgrading NT to XP as a dual boot; I now have phantom 5 1/4 Floppy drives shown in My Computer and Explorer Only in NT. XP works great and no problems. These don't show in Disk Administrator. If selected-BSOD & memory dump. Any idea how to eliminate these in the registry without an NT reinstall. Nervous about ERD repair of NT, since the XP install changed the MBR in "C"NT home partition to include "D XP home. Thanks for any help! Dick

Thanks: I tried that sunday and got nowhere. Erased the drive completely with Quantum's SCSI "Data Erase", re-installed NT from scratch and all apps. Will reload XP in seperate NTFS partition some night this week.I thank you for the advice. I decided this time to NOT replace NT, but do a clean XP install as much as I hate dual booting. This is only temporary since the XP Pro Full version CD didn't show yet at my local computer store and they loaned me this Upgrade version for 29 days. Dick Johnson
