OK, OK I'm fixing it!!!
This mornings cries of users across the network...
I've come in to find Error 633: The port is already in use or is not configured for RAS dial out.
I'm using NT Server 4 with Exchange 5.5 and a dial up. It was all working yesterday (and for the past 6 months!) with no problem. The modem is not in use by another program and is configured for RAS but it still gives the error.
Any suggestions - preferrably that don't involve a reboot, or I'm likely to have heavy objects thrown in my direction.
Many Thanks.

Stopping and restarting the Remote Access Service temporarily resolves the problem.
Which service pack? Re-installing this may help.
Good luck

I've just tried that and when I went to restart the Remote Access Service it returned a server specific error 1066 - oops, did things just get worse?
It's on SP5, I'll re-apply it and reboot and see if the service will restart. Hopefully that should sort it, we'll see.

Sorry about the service error. You may want to take a look at http://support.microsoft.com/support.../Q106/2/04.asp
Good luck.
