Can anyone help with this??!
I have a USR 56K INT with voice and it is installed and working with my phone answering software. I recently tried to install Dial-Up networking and it keeps stoping at the RAS device screen saying there are no RAS compatible devices installed. It asks if i'd like to install a modem and doesn't show my already installed one. If i choose to install a modem, it searches and finds no "new" modems installed and then returns to the RAS screen saying there are no RAS compatible devices installed.
Help!!
I'm using NT Workstation at home, not on a network.

I need more information. Are you setting up RAS to connect to the internet or a network? RAS is used to connect to networks. RAS simply lets modems act as a network card and allow users the option to dial-up to the network remotely. If not you should go to control panel, modem applet to configure your modem.

If it is a WINMODEM forget it. WINMODEMS do not work with NT without hours of effort

Start or install the plug and pray option to NT it just might find your modem, then remove your modem and reboot, if it doesn't find it itself add it manually, when searching it should find the modem, (you can start PNP in services portion of control panel
