NT Boot Loader Question

Can I use the NT Boot Loader to dual boot my system so that I can have windows 98 and 95? Or is is just for windows NT? If you can, how do you go aout doing it?

Yes you can use the NT boot-loader for dual booting...

In the Installations section is all you need to know about dual/multi-booting.

If you are installing '95, it will overwrite the MBR for NT; you will need to run the ERD sequence to rectify it afterwards. If installing '98, it doesn't affect the MBR - it's said to be 'NT friendly...'

Tip:

If you install '95 via a DOS boot-up, with CDROM support (ideally DOS 6.22), then '95 'won't' overwrite the MBR...

Which ever way you go, be it '95 or '98, have a current ERD handy (and the three install floppies) - just in case...!

Remember that '9x can't 'see' NTFS; and NT can't 'see' FAT32. There are utils that do resolve this problem from:

Also remember that for a dual-boot system, the primary/boot partition must be FAT16; unless you resort to a third-party utility, e.g. PM or SC; and the OS's can go in separate partitions.
