Infra red devices in a notebook
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 490CDT with Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0, The infra-red port works well with Windows 95, but it doesn't with Windows NT. How can I confugure it to work with IntelliSync 97 or TranXit?

I do believe that NT does not support Infrared.....sorry. You may call Toshiba to confirm this but I am pretty sure it doesn't.

I hear that you can use your laptop Infra Red port on Windows NT if you use a third party software suite.
Ericsson allow users of their mobile phones to download this software for free from Extended Systems. It can also be purchased from their website at http://www.extendsys.com
I'm looking into buying a Motorola Triband L7089 mobile phone next week. Motorola only offer infra red support to users of Windows 95/98. I reckon that if I buy this software then I can get it to work with my Dell Latitude CPi.

NT does not support i-r. However, I have a client with an i-r mouse that has a Logitech device that connects to the serial port, thus fooling NT into thinking the i-r mouse is actually a serial mouse.
