NT4 net logon service

We have 1 NT4 Server as a member server to another NT4 Primary Domain Server. The net logon service fails to start on the member server. We are unable to logon to either the member server or to the primary. How do we start the logon service manual in this case. Can it be done. We just want to to be able to get the accounting data off this server for now so we can put in onto a new server. PLEASE HELP

I know this seems very simple but has the member server joined the Domain? Network Properties | Identification | Domain. If not, click on Change and select Domain. Type in the domain name, click ok, reboot and see if that works.

The Net Logon service should start automatically.
