IIS 4.0 help
Hello everyone.
I just finished authorized training on IIS 4.0 webserver, and came back to the office today to install the software. The install went well, and it was adding a 3rd NT server to our domain.
I ran into a problem when I configured the IIS to Grant permission to my own workstation IP address, but then when I tried to access the administration files with my workstation, I got an error message that the new IIS Server could not be found. I noticed that although I could find it (Find Computer...), I could not map a drive to it, nor could I see anything [if I clicked on the folder, it was empty].
This new server is a member server, connected to the Primary Domain controller. What does my workstation need to be able to do to connect? I did this (for those of you with the Official MS book, it is Lab 3, exercize 2) in class with another student, and the lab worked without a hitch. I'm supposed to be able to enter http://[newserver ort#]/Iisadmin
Thanks if you can help!!
