service or driver failure during startup.
I installed NT on my machine (dual boot) and installed the driver for the 3Com network card via the network/adaptors section under the control panel.
I am receiving an error at startup.
The event viewer detail:
The 3Com 3C90x Adapter Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
The 3com diagnostics passed all tests. Only happening with NT since Win 98 seems to be happy with the card at startup.

Try removing the card from the winNT networking and re-installing. Also, use 98 to go and get the latest drivers from 3com, and then create some directories on your harddrive that both OS's can access, and put the driver files there, one directory per disk, (should be two disks for 3com drivers), then reinstall using a "have disk" and locate them.
For ease, make something like c:\3com\disk1,
c:\3com\disk2 to make your typeing easier.
If that doesn't work, then repost a reply.
