    Don't want dual boot NT/Win95

I have a laptop that prompts me to boot to NT or Windows95 - and starts a counter. NT is not loaded on this PC, so if I wait too long to choose Win95, the PC tries to boot to NT and then hangs and has to be restarted. Is there any way I can stop the dual boot? Any help would be appreciated.

there will be a hidden, read-only system file on the root directory of your c: drive called "boot.ini" edit this file so that after the word "default" you just have c:\ you can also change the amount of time before the default kicks in to 1 second, instead of 30. you could also just try renaming boot.ini to boot.bak, and see what happens. if the box just locks, change the name back to boot.ini, an edit as described above. good luck....

See the posting by Melvin..."Dual Boot with Win95?" I posted the instructions for removing NT from a dual boot system. Make sure that you make a win 95 startup disk before deleting any files. If NT has been removed from your system already you may not have to do everything listed in the other post. Good luck.
