I have a Compaq LTE 5280 that I pushed an image to over the network from a boot disk with network connectivity (Token Ring card). I removed the token ring card and I am trying to install a 3COM 10/100 Megahertz PCMCIA card. The problem is WIndows 95 doesn't detect a card in the slot, even if you boot with it already in the slot.

This same procedure worked fine with Windows NT if you change the I/O settings. Changing the I/O settings in Windows 95 seems to only conflicts with other devices.

Any ideas for where to look?
