I am trying to get 2 PB Pc's to get sound and modem connection;
1= PB Platinum, 1.6 yrs old- sound 28.8 modem & Soundblaster Pro card-133 MHZ-16MB RAM-AOL-I formatted & Restored from the Master CD & disk- brought back all programs, but still no sound; Device Manager has no conflicts-Sound, Game Controllers=Packard Bell Sound=IRQ 5-Modem=288 modem-IRQ 4; No sound from speakers, but when I ran DIAGNOSE in DOS, it said WORKING-Still get a beep from internal speaker..

PB Multimedia D160-1.6GB Conner-1996-32MB RAM-Win 98-28.8 Modem-133 MHZ-8xCDROM-16 bit SRS 3D sound card-1MB VRAM; NO SOUND with conflicts in both sound card & modem, changed the IRQ's and still has conflicts-it worked before, but last week,it said bad clusers, so I checked it with Norton Utilities and the problems are still there..
