Outlook Express 6 & Illegal Error Message

Today, I rebooted my system after it had been running for a couple of days with no activity and after I re booted and signed back on and clicked on my Outlook Express Icon on my desktop, I got an Illegal Operation Message. So, I rebooted and then ran a scan disk and it found no errors and I signed on again and I got the same error message. I downloaded Internet Explorer 6.0 a couple or three weeks ago and nothing like this has happened since then. Does anyone have a good easy remedy for this very frustrating problem?

    Thanks!

Did you get any details with the error, or a number?

Yes, the message I got under details was:
MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module MSOE.DLL at 016f:007c631c.

Then it gives some other information under Registers and Bytes at CS and Stack Dump.

Your folders.dbx file may be damaged, missing, or 'read only'.

Take a look at the following MS articles:

    and http://support.microsoft.com/support.../q238/6/56.asp

    Good luck, Tony
