Need Advice Troubleshooting an Unstable Desktop Power Issue
Hello everyone,
I am experiencing a strange issue with my desktop computer and would appreciate some guidance. The system randomly shuts down during normal use, especially when running multiple applications or performing light gaming.
I have checked the temperatures, cleaned dust from the case, and verified that the cables are connected properly. While researching possible causes, I started wondering whether the HP power supply could be failing or delivering inconsistent power.
Has anyone dealt with similar symptoms before? What tests or diagnostic steps would you recommend to confirm whether the power supply is the problem or if another component may be responsible?
Thanks in advance.

Could be bad ram, or bad cpu. I would run tests on them first.

Have a look in event viewer to see if there are any alerts that coincide with the shutdowns.
