You didn't say if you are using wireless or not, but you can try setting wifi as a "metered" connection to prevent automatic updates (see the second link in post #14). Home doesn't have as many options as Pro.

Sorry, it's a wired connection. I cannot find anything that mentions "metered". I've followed the instructions on your link and there is nothing about "metered" anywhere. I'm going to try uninstalling all of the updates and then running the tool. After that I'll allow them one at a time and see where the problem is. What bothers me is that updates are there for a reason and I don't want to put my computer at risk.

You can't use metered for a wired connection. It says that on the link I posted.

Prevent Automatic Downloading of Updates on a Specific Connection
When you set a connection as “metered,” Windows 10 won’t automatically download updates on it.
The first link on post#14 shows how to hide driver updates.

For grins, double check the cable connections.

My pc #3 at the office makes me giggle the cable at the monitor every so often to get it to not look blurry.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Moving the cables did nothing. There are two updates that I cannot uninstall for some reason, KB3081440 and KB3081452. I uninstalled the others and then restarted the PC. It didn't fix the problem. I'm only working the Windows updates, should I be concerned with the Microsoft Office updates as well?

Not a whole lot of detail on those updates:
KB3081440: This update makes improvements to ease the upgrade experience to Windows 10.

KB3081452: This update makes improvements to ease the upgrade experience to Windows 10. Important If you install a language pack after you install this update, you must reinstall this update. Therefore, we recommend that you install any language packs that you need before you install this update.

I wouldn't worry about the Office updates.

AMD Radeon HD 7570. I went to the manufacturers site and download the latest drivers with no result.
Which driver set did you install? Did you go to the ATI site? Are you running 32 or 64 bit Windows?
The latest set I see is 15.7.1.

I went to AMD site (I think) the only thing there was a catalyst pack so I installed it. I'm running 64bit.

Problem solved. I started thinking about the updates and wondered where were the HP updates that downloaded at the same time. I started fishing around and wound up doing a factory reset of my monitor. It fixed the problem. Thank you everyone for your input. I learned a lot. Problem solved!!
