    Required software not installed

    For quite a while now after boot up I get this message:

    Required System Software Not Installed

    Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 Is Required To Continue. This Software Is Available For Free At.........

    I actually downloaded the software to stop the notice but still get it. Don't know what program this is for and don't know how to make it stop
