Resolved [RESOLVED] Malwarebytes Needs a Program Associated With It

When I try to upgrade Malwarebytes I get the message "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder options control panel". So I went to My Computer> tools> folder options> file types. I do not know what to do next assuming I am doing the right thing so far. Help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

How are you trying to update it? Through Malwarebytes program or some other way?

I open Malwarebytes, click on update and then click on the message "click here to find out more and check it out". I just did this with two other computers that have windows 7 and it took me to the upgrade site.

"click here to find out more and check it out"
Why do you click on that? Doesn't Malwarebytes go straight to doing the updates?

When I clicked on that it went to Malwarebytes site and asked if I wanted to update the program with the two windows 7 computers. But it didn't do that with this xp on.

Download and install the free version if that is what you are using.
