    Is SearchProtocolHost.exe Malware?

    I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8. My anti-virus software, Avast! is saying that they blocked it for being a threat. It keeps happening repeatedly. I scanned my computer. Nothing. Is it malware or not? I'm confused here.

    That should be a Microsoft program. If Avast is flagging it, you may want to upload a copy of it to the link below for a scan.
