[RESOLVED] [Inactive] Windows Security Center
My windows security center service is turned off and when I try to turn it on back on it says that the service cannot be started. I think I have some type of virus because when I tried to start my Symantec Endpoint Protection it says that no protection technologies are installed. Did a restore point to another date but it did not work. Would appreciate any help !

I ran a full scan using the Avast antivirus but it reported no infected files. I did however receive this message :
File Name
C:\Users\iechavarria\AppData\Local\Temp\WER28C0.tmp.txt
C:\Users\iechavarria\AppData\Local\Temp\WERC6F2.tmp.txt
Status
Error: File is offline- It is currently not available

Virus don't normally cause your mess .Follow the link I posted and follow all the steps so the garbage can get cleaned out.
Long and involved proceedure I know, but that is what it takes to get that junk off of our computers..
Malware and virus are totally different things, which takes different programs to get rid of them.
