Is there one browser more susceptible to viruses?

Lately the computer has been getting attacked by malware/viruses, and it seems to happen when I am using IE9. Just curious -- is there a research that shows one browser is worse than another?

Just discovered, the IE is 10, not 9 and everytime I open it (which I don't do anymore) it attracts malware and viruses. Attempting to uninstall it. I don't want IE period.

Try this: Click the Start orb > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features On and Off link (left pane) > uncheck Internet Explorer > OK. When it's done restart your computer.
