Microsoft may be moving toward bringing back the Start Button

Microsoft may be moving toward bringing back the Start Button and allowing users to boot straight to the desktop with its coming Windows 8.1 release later this year.

Actually, I think they already did. Sinofsky is gone. Now if they could just hire a few time and motion study experts, maybe they could come up with a user interface that actually works faster and more efficiently, instead of one that just "looks new and improved".

I think that Balmer (CEO) is the right guy to fire. He never cared about customers in any way. He is nothing but an arrogant guy. Thank you!

To me, the Windows 8 'Metro'/Swinging Tiles interface looks like it was designed for:

Most analysts say that there are two main reasons Windows 8 is not so popular:

    1. Missing Start button.
    2. No setting/option to boot straight to Desktop.
