Changing the talking speed of an narrator on a UTube URL

Is there a way to slow down the audio (and the video) of a UTube offering? For example, I can play this Utube offering

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4x5FZyzLyQ

but the speaker is talking a mile a minute, way too fast for me to follow. Can I slow her down? Thank. ... wdc

The person speaking sounded normal to me.

Audio is normal to me too but parts of the video are sped up on purpose. Do other videos appear to have sped up audio? If it's happening on lots of videos then first check that the player isn't set to play back at increased speed.. controls vary depending on which player you're using.

If that isn't the issue then you can try reinstalling the sound card drivers. I have seen corrupted drivers do odd things like that.

wdc--On the YouTube Task bar you should see "CC". Click it and you will see subtitles. That might make it easier to comprehend.
Supposedly some YouTube videos allow you to slow down or speed up the playing speed, but the one you mention does not have this option.

Along with stating my Operating System (XP) and other settings I guess I should have noted that I am closing in on 90. I expect that has a lot to do with the problem. Still, I didn't recognize it until this particular URL. Thank you all for your posts. ...wdc
