Problem installing Win Xp Error message

    I have a HP ProBook 4520s.
    Original OS Win 7
The 320 gb SATA Hdd, failed (DOA)
    I installed a 120 gb Healthy SATA,
Since I like Win XP (with All the SATA drivers slipstreamed )
Since my friend own this Hp book and like XP I decided to install it.
HP ProBook allows to downgrade to Win XP (HP provided the drivers for it.)
This ProBook from Hell, won't allow me to format or install Win XP.
    Problem # 1: I get this: 0x0000007b(0xf78d2524,0xc0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)
Problem # 2: Win XP will not format the drive.
I've installed OS and repaired about 500 or more laptops this is a first issue of this kind I've had in long time.
    What to do !
    Thx for your support.

Did you set the SATA to IDE compatibility mode (or something similar)?

What are you using to format the drive? Did you wipe the drive before trying to install XP?

win xp will delete and create the drive but it will not format it.
    I think it's a BIOS thing.
the BIOS System Configuration have two tics
for SATA device mode : AHCI (set to default) and IDE, I know that IDE wouldn't work since this is a Sata.

IDE is IDE compatibility mode. That is for backwards compatibility with older OSes like XP.
