Malwarebytes false positives..
Malwarebytes released an update yesterday that caused a lot of problems related to huge numbers of false positives rendering computers unbootable. They've since fixed the problem but in case any of you are experiencing issues here is the info directly from them..

A very tough thing for an anti-malware company to go through. Apparently the update was only out for around 15 minutes or so. But long enough to do some scary stuff.
This all said, I stand behind them. I can't remember any anti-malware program that hasn't had a problem similar to this... Norton, Avast, McAfee and on and on. Hopefully they can get all their customers machines back to normal!

Is it felt that MBAM is safe to use again? Updates are offered almost every time I open the program. I would not be happy to download a bad one!

It was only unsafe that one day for about 15 minutes. They immediately sent out a new update to replace the one in question and there has been no problems after that.

Iobits has had problems too, since they had stolen their signatures from MBAM.
