Looking for something to secure router and modem

Ahhh, we have cats and they love to jump up on the desk to see what you're doing or just to play. They keep knocking both the modem and the router off the edge of the desk. Most times this does not result in a disconnect, but it's an inconvenience. Other than screwing them down I see no way of stopping this. Any suggestions?

Put a frame around the modem, put them on a rubber mat that will not slide on the desk. A couple ideas I have seen clients use.

Options:

Double sided foam tape.

Use longer cables and move modem and router elsewhere. Maintain decent cooling and ventilation.
