[RESOLVED] Windows 8 worth the jump?
I don't really need another pc, but windows 8 looks interesting but would need win pro/// Would i be better off to keep running my desktop vista 32 bit, and win 7 64 bit lap top? How about jumping to Ubuntu?
tks
bigger hard drives would be a plus

I can't think of 1 single thing that will make me want to move to Win8. If anything, upgrade the Vista to Win 7.

I would agree on the upgrading vista to Win7. I like Win8, but you should try it out first to see if you like it. I'm not very fond of Ubuntu, but others like it. Win7 and Win8 are better than Ubuntu in my opinion, but agin others may not agree.

i don't really know what to expect different with 8 vs 7, it appears the brick style, have to go to pro right away however,, i do like 7 better than vista.

Run it from a bootable cd then.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCD
It called a live cd. That way to can test it without having to install it.

Yes there is 12.10
http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop
They even have a link on how to:
Try Ubuntu before you install it
If you’re not yet sure about installing Ubuntu, you can try it out without affecting your current system.
