I get an error, "Windows Parental Controls (Not responding)"
I am trying to give my son access to a program which is blocked by parental controls. When I enter my password the parental controls pop-up has a heading "Windows Parental Controls (Not responding)". I am using Windows 7 full patched and updated.
My son is logged in at the time and requires access to the program. I have reviewed the program and assessed it as acceptable so I have selected the link to allow and entered my administration password.
I have installed Web Wathcher. I have contacted their help desk and they assure me that this software can not cause this issue.
When I disable UAC my sone can access the program. When I re-enable UAC my son can not access the program.
I performed a clean boot and same error occurred.
Thanks,
Glyn
I have a number of systems that I am responsible for; especially when they are not working.

Parental controls in windows generally sucks. I'd recommend you getting some third party software like NetNanny or PCWebControl :P

Actually, the parental controls in Windows 7 works very well Baratheon, when it works right.
Glyn, I have no answer for you except to make sure your running this as the administrator, by used the old right click "run as Administrator" option.
