Belarc advisor no longer useful for 98se.

Support for 98se ended in 2006 . I got an update disk from 2004 I used so I'm sure I'm missing updates. ie6 just freaks out when I try to access windows update. Rebuild/repair does nothing. I need to know what hotfixes I'm missing and the latest Belarc does nothing for me.

I cannot find any old version of Belarc advisor on oldapps, oldversion.com or google. I'm downloading the 98se sp3.13 from the unofficial update site but these packs make me nervous.

A31Chris--I presume your main objective is to find updates, hot fixes, etc. for Win 98se, not Belarc.
It has been many years since Microsoft offered any such for Win 98se. I think that partially explains why IE cannot access Windows Updates.
I think you are out of luck.

FWIW--Here is a list of programs similar to Belarc.

I have not tested whether they will work with Win 98. But even if they do, I am not sure what they can tell you at this point.

    Windows 9x?

Kinda reminds one of the old cassette deck days doesn't it.
