    add-ons

    I have just received a message saying I can speed up browsing by disabling add-ons.
    I have Java(TM) Plug-in 2 SSV Helper
    Easy webprint
    Easy photo print
    Adobe PDF link helper
    Google toolbar Notifer BHO
    Lindows live Id sign-in helper

    Can I safely disable all or some of these please?

    Sure, they could all be disabled safely. There is a trade-off though. Whichever ones you decide to disable won't be usable.
