slow email with attachments
My email is VERY slow when attaching photos. Ie. a 2.17mb photo will take about 4 mins. to go through. If I try to send more than 1 photo my system times out. I have the timeout set to max.
I contacted bigpond support and was told my upload speed is very slow at .20.
They suggested I uninstall and reinstall Windows live mail 2011.
Will this make any difference, I don't want to do this unless I can be sure it will.

Can you access your e-mail through wabmail and a browser? If yes, try sending an e-mail with the same attachment using that method. That will bypass Windows Live Mail and, if it takes about the same amount of time, will eliminate Windows Live Mail as a possible source of the problem. You could also try uploading a photo to a photo site to see how long that takes. If that is faster, then your e-mail provider may be the problem.

.20 Mbps = 2.66 minutes to upload one 4 MB pic.
Here's the math: .20 x 1,000,000 bits = 200,000 bits per second, divided by 8 bits in a byte = 25,000 bytes per second.
4,000,000 byte pic / 25,000 bytes per second = 160 seconds / 60 seconds in a minute = 2.66 minutes to upload one pic.
