How to delete photos in printing wizard
Using XP and outlook.
How can I delete photos in printing wizard. Tried to search this forum for this issue, but when i clicked on the search button nothing happened.
I have tried Disc Cleanup, which did not work.
I have tried Microsoft fixit#50472, which did not work.
I tried to manually empty the Temp folder, but kept getting a message that a file could not be removed, because it was in use, or for some other reason.

I agree that the directions in the link should work, but for some reason my options are not as specified in the steps.
On the General tab, I do not have the option to Delete Files under Temporary Internet Files. (Could it be that I do not have the updated version of IE? I use Firefox and have never used or updated IE on this computer.)
What I do have on the General Tab are the following:
Home Page
Browsing History
Search
Tabs
Appearance
I clicked Browsing History and told it to delete everything, but the images remain.
I see no option which would allow me to Delete all offline content.
Should I consider downloading the latest version of IE? I looked for that on the IE page, but could not find a way to get the latest version of IE.

The Browsing History is your links, and has nothing to do with the Temporary Internet Files. What version of Internet Explorer do you have? Are you logged in as an Administrator?

I upgraded to IE8 and nothing changed, ie the images are still there after deleting everything having to do with Browsing History.
As far as logging in, mine is a one-user, at-home computer and I have never logged in as an administrator.

Is it Temp or Temporary Internet Files? They are two separate things. You mentioned Temp earlier.

I have tried each of those on several occasions. The images are still there.
Does it make a difference that what I am trying to remove are images that have come to me as attachments in my email? I receive an attachment to email which I need to print. I right-click the attachment and then click on print, which opens the print wizard. Are these images considered Temporary Internet Files?

What e-mail client program are you using? If you are using a web browser to access your e-mail (please specify which one), then those images may be in your temporary internet files, and may be restored each time you access them, even if you are not printing them. If you have lots of attachments to print, there may be a more efficient way for you to print them. More info is needed on exactly what you are doing, and your specific issue with the unwanted files. Are they taking too long to for the print wizard to display your images, or just what is the real issue?

The issue is that the images from a year ago are still there.
I am using outlook. I get 10-15 attachments per month, which need to be printed.
I right-click on the attachment and the printing wizard opens immediately. When I continue with printing wizard, I note the images from the past. I just thought that I would get rid of them, if I could. If I cannot, I am not going to lose any sleep over it.
If there is another way to print, I would certainly consider it.

Now that we have a more complete description of the issue, a solution might be available at the link below:
