Useful Software and Hardware

I thought that I start this thread to share and understand favorite technology, software or hardware for every day usage.

For me:

Software (that I can't live without):
-TrueCrypt (for Encryption)
-Beyond Compare(for comparing files and folders)
-Gadwin (for snapshot picture - light weight)
-Ultrapad (notepad replacement)

I like lightweight software with minimum footprint.

Technology:
-VirtualBox or VMWare or VirtualPC (test environment)

Hardware:
-Maxed out RAM

Everyone knows the answer is Irfanview. It can solve global warming, tune up your car engine and cook your dinner all at the same time.

I think it shows pictures too.
