    PC does not see the camera

    Long time ago, as soon as I connected Fuji FinePix A805, I saw its icon at the bottom, clicked on it and could import pictures. Then the icon stopped appearing, so I had to open Computer, find it there and continue from there. Today I connected everything as usual, but heard no sound when I turned the camera on and there is A805 listed under Devices. I tried other USB connectors to no avail. If I open Devices and Printers - from Start menu, A805 is listed there, yet I cannot do anything as opening it shows a blank box saying "No tasks are available on this page". Going to Start>All Programs>FinePix ViewerS>Load photos brings no results; Help does not help.
    Any suggestions?

    Bad cable or connectors?

    Do you have a USB-to-SD|xD memory card adapter? (For example)

    I still do not know what it was but... I added FinePix Viewer to the Start menu - now I have the icon and A805 is listed in Devices!
    And it works! I can import photos!
    Apparently, it smelled that I posted my question and I were on the trail. It panicked I decided to behave. Thank you.
