Please, please fix the "new Posts" thing. I use it a lot, instead of going into each forums.

The New Posts link was fixed more than a week ago. It shows posts from the last 24 hours.

When you click "New Posts" link
if you have already viewed all of the lastest posts, you'll get the message:
Sorry, there are no new posts to view.
You may search for posts updated during the previous 24 hours, here
Clicking on that "here" link at the end of the second sentence will to take you to
which is _all_ posts in the last 24 hours, (whether you've already viewed them or not).

The "What's New" tab looking link does the same thing as->
which is _all_ posts in the last 24 hours, (whether you've already viewed them or not).
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Are we talking about the same thing. I am referring to the fact that a new post doesn't show up under "New Posts" until hours later.

It's working here.

(Compare the time of my post with the time in the screenshot).

I think the list of New Posts gets updated once an hour.

?
Since you've obviously already read your own response, the Thread you just responded to is not going to show up in _your_ "New Posts" (getnew) list until someone else responds. "Why?" Simply because there is nothing *-New-* for you in that Thread since you last read it.
Your response will show up immediately in the "What's New" (getdaily) list however.
--
"New Posts" = new to you (getnew)
"What's New" = everything in the last 24 hours (getdaily)

Not sure it is how it works - at least it wasn't like this w/ the old software.
After I hit the submit button, a new post should be registered. At this point I have not yet read this version of the THREAD which has this new post in it. The thread I have read so far doesn't has my response in it, yet. So even "to me", it should still be a new post. Beside, if your explanation is correct, how come, then, my reply will appear in "New Post" after a couple of hours even nobody else replies to it after me. Going by your explanation, it shouldn't, b/c according to that theory, I have already read it - when I wrote the reply - and so "to me" it is not a new post.
With the old site, after I submitted a reply (a post), it will list under "New Post" within minutes.

The software is smart enough to know YOU made the post...and in theory - so are you
Or put another way - as soon as you click into a thread - it is no longer new to you regardless of you replied to it or not.
And then there is the The "What's New" tab that shows all new threads that have been posted in within the past 24 hours.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Oh, well, we all know that I am dumb, that's a given. All I know is that the "New Post" behavior is different from b4 the site change. No matter, it's not important enough to fuss over it anymore. Forget about it. Life goes on.

The IT people replied and said they are all over the speed issue
The above was posted on July 26th.
8 days later....still same issue.
It's slower than molasses.
I'm afraid some poeple will opt for some other websites.
It's simply painful.

I'm seriously considering leaving this board as nothing has been done to fix extreme slowness of this site.
I simply have no time to wait 15, 30 seconds, or even 1 minute for my usually lengthy replies in malware forum to post.
It looks like nobody cares anyway since nothing has been done about it.
This topic started on July 7th so 5 weeks should be enough to fix the issue.
