    My Phone

I bought a LG Boost Mobile phone. I'm trying to sync my music on my phone. It keeps telling me that I need software for LG phone on my laptop. I did that. Nothing. Then, it says that I need to install a driver for it. I don't understand.

My computer is a DELL Windows XP.

Install a driver for the phone. Nothing. I try to sync with Windows Media Player. It doesn't read it.

You do have the correct Sync cable? Have you tried different USB ports?

What version of WMP are you running? Some phones require version 10 or 11 for XP.

I have a USB cable for the phone to my USB port. I tried to use the three USB ports and nothing. I downloaded the driver for my LG Rumor Reflex phone and nothing happens. I working on WMP 11 with this.

Look in the Tools and Calendar - Mass Storage section

Connect Your Phone to Your Computer

Before using your phone’s mass storage capabilities, you need to prepare your phone’s settings to synchronize with your desktop or laptop computer. Once you have connected the phone to the computer, you can transfer your data to or from the microSD card.

With the microSD card inserted, connect your phone to your computer using a compatible USB cable.

The USB Connection menu should open automatically; select Connect To PC. If the menu doesn’t open, then touch Home icon > Main Menu > (slide the screen up) > Tools > Mass Storage > Connect to PC.

Read the notice and touch Yes.

No driver installation is required for Windows 2000/ ME/XP/Vista/7 users.

Okay. I tried that. The computer is recognizing the phone, now I can't move the files into the phone. It's endless.

Now that it's connected, use Windows Explorer to copy your files over, (like you would do if it was a USB thumb/flash drive).

The music is not going over to Windows Media Player. All I see is podcast I downloaded on iTunes. Do I have to get the songs from iTunes into WMP?

I found that using Real Player helps me sync my phone. I'll just use that instead of WMP. I tried to sync my phone and it didn't take.
