    Shut off Animations and moving advertising

    Since I received a good tip the other day I decided to try my luck at virtualdr again.

    I have a massive headache trying to use Ebay and other Web sites with all the advertising, suggestions that keep popping up related to Windows Live, and animations. I can't stand balloon help or tooltips or whatever else these things are called. How can I shut off advertising that appears like a slide show? How about helping me hide or shut off all animations of a flowing stack of business cards and dancing critters on a webpage? Is this Adobe Flash Player related? Thanks

    Which browser are you using? FF (FireFox) has an add on that blocks advertising which is what you're seeing.

    I had this one at one time, but the one I had was not free. Perhaps they've changed that since I tried it a few years ago.
