[RESOLVED] Problem syncing ipod

I am having a problem syncing my ipod, using itunes and a pc.

I connected the ipod to the pc and itunes opened. My ipod was recognized by itunes. I clicked on automatic syncing and then clicked on sync. Nothing happened. No sliding bar to tell me percentage of completion. Nada.

I disconnected properly, reconnected and this time clicked on manual. Went to itunes and selected All. Then dragged all to the ipod. Initially, I got an indication that the first song was being transferred. Then nothing. No sliding bar or any indication of percentage of completion.

How do I know whether syncing is taking place? How do I know when syncing is complete?

Not to worry. I figured out how to do it. I restored the ipod to its original state and dragged and dropped all songs. They are being transferred even as I speak.
