Alternative to AMX for Conference Room [Independent Programmer Friendly]
My company has 3 AMX NXT-CA7 touch panels and NI-2100 controllers to go with them in our conference rooms. We are tired of dealing with AMX's stringent rules and controls. What would be a good, independent programmer friendly, alternative that we could use to design, program, and install our own equivalent system? All functions are listed in this picture. Thanks in advance.

You're getting into some pretty rarefied air in dealing video teleconferencing and related software/hardware.
In a previous job I had I had to get a pro in that industry to come up with various alternatives and price points to have a decent system installed in our venue/hotel.
I unfortunately don't remember any details at all since we decided it was too expensive (approx 20k dollars) just for one small room/installation.
I do recall that Tandberg made the hardware we were looking at.. http://www.tandberg.com/index4.jsp
You may want to call a local a/v company for their input since something like that might take a visit from a pro to suss out what's necessary for your specific needs.

We have been there, done that. We wish to take over the project ourselves without working with a dealer. Any alternative solution would be considered. Thanks.

This is really a sub forum for home, non-professional software and hardware. There may be others here to offer advice, and I hope there are but you'd probably get more input from a dedicated audio-visual forum like this.. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/
