Problems with Skype & User Account Control on Vista

Hi,

All of a sudden I am unable to access Skype - a message saying Skype has stopped working appears. I have uninstalled and re-installed but the problem persists.


Also, somehow my User Account Control has been turned off and when I try and turn it back on the computer restarts yet it is still turned off.

Finally, on Safari, I am unable to type into some text boxes.

I hope someone can help we with these problems.

Before you do anything else, try running System Restore to roll back to a point before the problems started.

Have tried but I can only set today as a restore point.

When in restore did you tick the second option instead of the first one? Ticking the second option shows more restore points available.

i had the same problemo...
just install the newest beta version of skype.that fixed it for me.
the skype help page said to do just that.
