    AVG Question

    This may be in the wrong forum and if so I apologize.

    Is there an issue with AVG giving false positives regarding a trojan? We have AVG on our desktop and for the past few hours it keeps popping up saying there is a trojan, but when we click on the recommended option it says no file found or cannot be accessed. We updated AVG, ran the malwarebytes scan and it showed nothing. I ran the full scan with malwarebytes. We restarted the computer and AVG is still popping up saying it has blocked this trojan or tells us to quarantine when there is nothing there to quarantine. Any ideas on this? Thanks.

    If you can locate the file using Windows Explorer, try uploading the file to virustotal to see what results you get.

    The warnings have not popped back up about the trojan, but we are getting 9,000 other pages when we try to go to our home page. We must have some sort of bug on it. I am doing another scan with malwarebytes to see if it finds anything.
